Welcome to Your School OT Bestie! I’m so glad you’re here. My journey into occupational therapy began with a deep curiosity about human behavior, leading me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Psychology. This foundation sparked my passion for understanding how people interact with their world, ultimately guiding me to specialize in empowering individuals to live their fullest lives. My passion truly took root when I earned my Master’s in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota, equipping me with the skills to make a tangible difference.

Currently, I work as a school-based occupational therapist, servicing students both in person and virtually. This dual experience gives me a unique perspective on the diverse needs of therapists and students alike. However, when I first stepped into the demanding yet incredibly rewarding world of school-based OT, I quickly realized how easy it was to feel isolated and overwhelmed. I was that new school OT who often felt lost, scrambling for practical resources and wishing for a guiding hand. This personal journey through those early years fueled a deep desire to prevent other dedicated OTs and COTAs from experiencing that same sense of struggle and, ultimately, to combat the pervasive risk of burnout in our profession.

That’s why I created Your School OT Bestie. This space is born from my own journey, designed to be the supportive resource and understanding “bestie” I desperately wished I had. Here, I’m committed to providing you with the practical resources, essential self care items, and effective in-person treatment ideas that will not only simplify your daily practice but also boost your confidence.

Our Mission

My mission is to empower you to thrive, enjoy your work, and truly shine as an in-person school-based occupational therapist or COTA, ensuring your invaluable contributions are sustainable and deeply rewarding.
